Injured ones

When joeys come into care, they have often suffered terrible injuries. Most common cause of injury is their mum has been hit and killed by a vehicle, so her joey can suffer injuries, or the joey was caught on a fence it couldnt jump over. Mum being chased and killed by a dog also occurs. Unfortunately we do get joeys who's mum has been shot for pet food or her fur. Sometimes mums simply wandered on to the wrong property. Whilst usually physically ok, joeys that survive these shootings are very traumatised as you can image.
